Don’t we all love a good boho hairstyle? Today we are sharing a great one that is perfect for homecoming, school or even the holidays! This one is good for long, medium or even shorter hair (with a little modification). To see your own photo recreations of this style featured in our app, feel free to tag your photos on IG with: #CGHHalfBunCombo
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, bobby pins, small hair elastics, hairspray {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes
Skill Level: easy
Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Part your hair to one side.
- Pick up a small section of hair from the heavy side, about an inch back. (leaving bangs).
- Divide into two equal pieces and begin a reverse fishtail braid.
- Braid until you have enough to reach the back of your head. Go back and pancake the edges to create volume and then secure with a small elastic.
- Move your fishtail braid out of the way. Pick up the top half of your hair and pull back into a ponytail.
- Once you have your hair all smooth, add the fishtail and secure all into a small elastic.
- Remove the elastic from the end of your fishtail braid.
- Pick up your ponytail and create a messy bun. Secure with bobby pins as needed.
- Pick up a small section of hair between your ear and bun. Create a regular three strand braid. Once you reach the end, go back and pancake the edges to create volume. Secure with a small elastic.
- Repeat step 9 on the other side of your head.
- Finish with hairspray {if desired}.
This is so pretty!!
I do miss having some of the tutorials by the CGH family though 😉 .
